I decided to do a review on the MAKEUP FOR EVER (MUFE) Aqua Creams that I own. Haley told me she’s been interested in them and everything I wanted to say is too long for a reply or ask box, so I figured I’d make a post!
So basically, I LOVE THESE. I think they are really great. They add such a nice pop of color to your eyes and they’re easy and quick to put on once you get used to them.
18 - On the MUFE website shade 18 is described as ‘Mauve’. I would definitely say this shade is more of a lilac/lavender color. It’s pretty shimmery and light. I like this one because it REALLY makes my hazel/green eyes pop. I have used it with and without primer and even without primer it stays ALL DAY; it never budges and looks flawless for 12 hours.
13 - is described as ‘Warm Beige.’ This color is also pretty shimmery. Temptalia describes this color as, “a lightened champagne taupe with a metallic sheen.” Like number 18, this cream shadow lasts all day! I think it’s a nice way to amp up a neutral look, but some have complained that it’s too shimmery to be truly neutral. While it may not be ideal for something like a job interview or something professional, I think it works great as a shimmery neutral.
The complaints - Many have complained that this cream eye shadow is difficult to work with and that it dries cakey and uneven. This is true - if you don’t take the time to learn how to work with it. The main issue is that it dries VERY quickly. So if you have issues working over your whole eye quickly, do it in small portions/sections. I have found that the best way to apply this, like with most cream shadows, is with your finger. I tried applying it with a brush a few times and that is when it looked cakey and uneven. The one thing I do not like is that the packaging is plastic; you would think that for $22 you’d get a nice little glass jar (like a MAC Paint Pot)!
I easily give this product a 9.5/10!
I have one Aqua Cream (#14) and I really think it was a bad batch or something. Mine creases like crazy and fades horribly, but everyone else seems to love these D:
hey, i saw you have a nose piercing. i wanna get one real soon :) but im really scared to get though, but im determined to get it! Did it hurt? btw i love the your page ! But yeah did it hurt?
Out of my 11 piercings, my nose hurt the most, but it was still only about a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10 (I have a high pain tolerance, though). The pain is over really quickly, so I’d still recommend getting it :)
This book has makeup looks of famous women from the 20s-80s! It shows you step by step how to do them and has some extras in it like doing manicures and stuff! It’s awesome. I recommend people get it! She got it from Urban Outfitters!
It annoys me when navigational features are on the left hand side of screens. And I feel like all the header letters are unnecessarily large. The only new feature I like is the ability to sort stuff by color.
